Description
We are looking for a confident and commercially driven Media Sales Account Manager executive to join the team at Insurance Times, the UK’s leading media brand for the general insurance industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in digital, ideally within a role selling a multimedia portfolio of advertising and event sponsorship products. The ideal candidate should excel in both winning new business and fostering long-term client relationships in the B2B market. In this role, you will be responsible for generating revenue through a combination of new business development and the strategic growth of a select group of existing accounts. You will be working with a diverse client base that includes management consultancies, technology providers, law firms, specialist insurers, MGAs and brokers. These are key players in one of the UK’s most resilient and fast-evolving sectors. Success in this role will come from your ability to build genuine rapport with senior professionals, understand their commercial goals and deliver creative, high-impact media solutions. You will work closely with the Head of Commercial to explore new revenue opportunities and help diversify the brand’s offering, particularly through content marketing, live events and virtual experiences.

Location:
This is a hybrid role based in Central London, offering a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, so you should be able to commute to the office a few days a week. Salary Details:
Competitive salary based on experience plus uncapped commission structure, OTE £55,000
Key Responsibilities
Generate new business from untapped or lapsed clients, focusing on suppliers and specialist insurers (approx. 50% of the role). Grow revenue from existing clients by introducing innovative products and solutions (approx. 40%). Identify and develop international opportunities across sister titles
Strategic Risk
and
Global Reinsurance
(approx. 10%). Provide outstanding account management, ensuring seamless execution of advertising, content marketing, and sponsorship plans. Consistently meet and surpass sales targets, call volumes, meeting quotas, and personal objectives (KPIs). Maximise revenue by closely monitoring yield and market share, identifying areas for growth. Respond to client needs with speed, creativity, and professionalism. Accurately manage marketing bookings and sales admin using Salesforce. Prepare clear, insightful reports for the Head of Commercial when required. Build strong, lasting client relationships with a focus on exceeding expectations.
