People Solutions are pleased to be recruiting for a Drivers Mate position on behalf of our brand-new client based in Baillieston. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy active, physical work and are looking to build a career within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Due to the nature of the role, all applicants must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting throughout the shift.
This position offers the potential to become a permanent role through a temp-to-perm pathway.
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Shifts:
* 4 on 4 off shift pattern
* Start Time: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Flexibility required between Monday to Sunday

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a Drivers Mate, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting drivers with the delivery of large household items to customers’ homes
* Supporting with the safe loading and unloading of goods
* Communicating clearly with customers and providing excellent service
* Adhering to all health and safety procedures on-site and during deliveries
* Completing paperwork and reporting any issues to the office
To succeed in this role, you will need to:
* Work well as part of a two-person delivery team
* Be physically fit and comfortable lifting heavy items
* Have strong communication skills
* Be reliable, punctual and flexible with working days
(Not essential, but beneficial):
* Previous experience in a customer-facing or manual handling role
* Experience as a Drivers Mate
Training Provided:
* Full site induction and manual handling training prior to starting work
