The North and Mid Hampshire Community Respiratory Service are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person to join our dynamic, dedicated and passionate team where patients are the centre of everything we do.
In this role you will assist our specialist nurses and physiotherapists to deliver a high standard of respiratory support to patients. This will include working within oxygen assessment clinics and pulmonary rehabilitation courses within community venues. We cover a number of location working in community venues and home visits predominantly in Winchester, Andover and Basingstoke.

Main duties of the job
To provide clinical and admin support to the Respiratory Specialist Physiotherapist/Nurse during oxygen assessments and pulmonary rehabilitation classes for patients with long term respiratory conditions across North and West Hampshire.
Both elements of the post will involve direct patient contact welcoming service users, taking basic observations and supervision of patients during their session/clinic. The role in Pulmonary Rehabilitation involves supporting the exercise class alongside the clinician, ensuring patients are comfortable, confident with the exercises and being part of a group and giving occasional 1:1 assistance to patients, assisting with patient related admin, and organisation of equipment used to include ordering of supplies. The role within the oxygen clinic will be to assist the clinician with oxygen assessment, as well as the day-to-day stock management for the clinic.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full driving licence with access to a car
Experience
* Experience in exercise industry or own exercise experience
* Experience of working with people with chronic respiratory conditions
* Experience of delivering pulmonary rehabilitation programmes

* Ability to follow instructions and accept responsibility for tasks delegated by the qualified member of staff
* Recognises limits of responsibility
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* Good IT skills, able to use Word and Excel competently
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Numerate and literate in English
* Able to deal with all requests from patients in a sympathetic and helpful manner
* Able to respond to changes in work patterns
* Ability to participate in training programmes and demonstrating skills to other staff
* Is able to work legally in the UK
* Is able to work with vulnerable adults
* Conducts themselves in a professional manner and appearance
* Experience of using Rio electronic record system
