An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Partnership Tax Manager to join the Partnership Tax team, reporting directly to the Head of Partnership Tax. This role sits within the wider Finance function and is based in London.
Role Overview
The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and delivering the full tax compliance cycle for the LLP, its Members, and associated corporate entities. This is a pivotal role, ensuring all tax obligations are met accurately and on time, while driving continuous improvement in processes and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the preparation and submission of UK LLP and UK Corporation Tax computations.
Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of individual Member tax returns.
Ensure all tax filings and payments are completed accurately and within statutory deadlines.
Act as the main point of contact with HMRC, managing correspondence and responding to enquiries.
Prepare and deliver annual Member tax statements, including tax reserving and reconciliations.
Respond promptly and effectively to Member tax queries.
Manage the preparation and submission of the PAYE Settlement Agreement.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the firm and its Members.
Identify and implement improvements to tax processes and controls, including leveraging technology.
Support the Head of Partnership Tax with technical analysis and project-based initiatives.
Skills and Experience
Professionally qualified (CTA, ACA, ATT, or equivalent).
Strong experience in UK tax compliance.
Background in a professional services environment is essential; legal sector experience is advantageous.
Proficient in tax software and advanced Excel skills.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage a full annual tax compliance cycle.
Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Confident communicator, able to explain complex tax matters clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
Proactive team player with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
