Lean Engineer - Aerospace - Derby - Permanent - Up to £35K A Lean Engineer with specific experience of implementing lean manufacturing and logistics processes is required to join a Derbyshire based organisation who specialise in the design, development and manufacture of specialist logistical solutions for the transportation of high value aerospace components. As the Lean Engineer you shall be responsible for implementing performance improvement activities for both internal and external customers. You should be experienced utilising various methodologies ensuring \best practice\ is used to support operations in improving lean manufacturing and logistics processes whilst initiating and leading process improvement initiatives. Role responsibilities: Working with operational teams, put in place operational performance tools including process mapping, waste reduction and problem solving techniques, visual management and compare to proven lean manufacturing and logistics operationsDelivery and facilitation of Lean training to share best practiceMeasure the effectiveness of improvements made and any cost savingsConduct performance diagnosticsReview site layout and propose improvementsFor the position of Lean Engineer you must have the following: Knowledge of and a proven track record in implementing lean manufacturing and logistics processes is essentialExcellent communication skillsExperience in coaching and mentoring in the delivery of LeanKnowledge of operational supply chain flows and industrial logistics is essentialERP/MRP and WMS system knowledge and experience is desirableFirm understanding of Lean philosophy, methodology and implementationHave the ability to manage projects and drive required changes to improve productivity and performanceBe of an inquisitive nature, open minded and able to work on your own initiativeInterviews for the role of Lean Engineer will commence with immediate effect with a view to starting as soon as the 18th July.
