ICT Technical Engineer Team Leader Infrastructure
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced ICT Technical Engineer Team Leader Infrastructure to join our digital team that has set out an ambitious digital strategy over the next five years to deliver the very best information and digital solutions with patient care at its core. WAST is a national service, and the Digital Team is representative of this.
The role is full-time and permanent, working in a hybrid manner with the base to be confirmed on appointment. This post within the ICT Department requires an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who responds positively to new challenges. The ICT Technical Engineer Team Leader Infrastructure will be responsible for delivering high-quality, professional service to the Trust's ICT infrastructure.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be expected to provide expert and effective ICT support, primarily in development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance across a range of ICT systems in Wales, including support and advice to managers and users.
Using own initiative and in accordance with Trust policy, the postholder will investigate, resolve, and plan for multi-faceted ICT systems to ensure the smooth running of the Trust's ICT infrastructure.
Additionally, the ICT Technical Engineer Team Leader Infrastructure will oversee the day-to-day supervision of ICT Technical Engineers.

Qualifications and Knowledge
* Bachelor's degree in ICT or equivalent qualifications, knowledge, or experience.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development and post-qualification learning.
* Advanced qualification in agile development methodology.
* Qualification in team leadership.
Experience
* Proven ICT technical engineering experience.
* Experience managing and motivating a team.
* Leadership in designing, developing, and deploying system upgrades and implementations.
* Strong understanding of Windows PC and server OS.
* Experience supporting IT in healthcare.
* Experience working in an Agile environment.
Skills and Attributes
* Confidence in public speaking, demonstrating ideas, concepts, and software, and answering questions.
* Excellent planning and team leadership skills, including chairing meetings.
* Ability to establish good relationships at all levels.
* Capability to assess and develop team members' skills, guided by policies.
* Welsh language skills at levels 1-5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing are desirable.
