Job Description Technical Service Engineer - Security Systems £35,000 to £40,000 basic on-call allowance Location: Scotland Call-Out Rota: 1 in 4 I am recruiting on behalf of a highly respected Security Systems Integrator who are expanding their Service and Maintenance team. They are now seeking an experienced Technical Service Engineer to support their portfolio of enterprise-level integrated security systems across key client sites. This is a field-based service role, focused on fault finding, maintenance, reactive service work and ongoing client support. You will be part of a 1 in 4 call-out rota, providing essential cover to ensure critical security systems remain operational. You will work across a broad range of technologies including access control, CCTV, VMS platforms, security management software and IP networks. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will also work closely with Project Managers to ensure excellent client service across both legacy and new installations. What you’ll be doing: Fault finding and diagnosing issues across integrated electronic security systems Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and system health checks Responding to reactive service calls, troubleshooting both remotely and on site Participating in a 1 in 4 call-out rota, providing out-of-hours support when required Supporting system upgrades, patching and configuration improvements Liaising directly with customers to deliver clear updates and a professional service Accurately recording all service calls, maintenance work and client interactions Supporting the wider technical team with commissioning and handover of systems where required Acting as a technical mentor to junior engineers where appropriate Maintaining compliance with health and safety and quality standards on all works What you’ll need to bring: Proven experience in service, maintenance and fault finding on integrated security systems Experience supporting systems such as Lenel, Gallagher, Genetec, Milestone, Axis or similar Professional attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively Willingness to participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota and travel across Scotland as required Why join?
