The Role:
Working as part of a small, busy enforcement team within the wider planning/development management section, you will assist the enforcement team in triaging incoming complaints, researching sites and undertaking site visits to investigate alleged breaches of planning control.
The post will provide an excellent opportunity to learn and gain experience of the planning process as you will be required to work closely with the enforcement officers, as well as the development management team, conservation and tree colleagues. Negotiation skills are essential as is the ability to work within a customer focused environment where tact, patience and diplomacy are essential.

We’re looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, a good communicator and can pay close attention to detail.
You will have an interest in development management and the built environment and be willing to learn about the planning system and legislation and how this applies to breaches of planning control.
