Overview

* Location: Office based in Ledbury with limited time on site across the UK
* Working hours: Full time (permanent)
* Reports to: Technical & Training Manager
* Reporting lines: Close working relationship with Technical & Training Manager; working relationships with internal & external stakeholders


Job summary

Provide technical expertise and support for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products and systems. The role involves assisting internal teams, designers, contractors, and clients with system design, product selection, troubleshooting, and preparation of technical documentation. Work closely with the Technical & Training Manager to ensure Jaga products are applied, installed, and operated efficiently.

Key responsibilities include reviewing technical drawings, supporting CAD layouts, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. The position is primarily office-based and requires strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, excellent problem solving abilities, and the capability to communicate complex engineering information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Package

* Basic salary of £38,000 to £40,000 per annum
* Discretionary bonus scheme
* Life insurance (twice salary)


Person Specification

* Formal qualifications in the HVAC sector are essential, with hands-on experience in hydronics systems design, installation, commissioning and technical support
* Experience producing and amending CAD drawings, preferably using BricsCAD
* Experience or aptitude in technical fault finding, with the ability to analyse installation or operational issues and identify practical solutions
* Knowledge of control strategies, built-in and remote control, building management systems, and associated wiring
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good knowledge of renewable energy products is desirable, preferably in heat pump technology


Main responsibilities and deliverables

* Prepare, amend & manage technical drawings and documentation in line with project requirements, consultant specifications, and internal standards
* Generate and collate technical submittals for consultant and client approval
* Maintain and update CAD libraries, and technical drawing records
* Provide technical input during the pre-sales stage to support accurate product selection, system design, and specification
* Support the preparation of technical information required for quotations and commercial proposals
* Process customer orders within SAP, ensuring accuracy of product configuration, sizing, quantities, and delivery information
* Coordinate technical order checks and resolve discrepancies prior to order release
* Deliver first-line technical support to installers, contractors, and internal teams
* Diagnose and troubleshoot installation, wiring, controls, and operational issues
* Provide clear technical guidance to resolve faults or performance issues
* Escalate complex or unresolved issues through the appropriate internal channels
* Support post-sales activities including commissioning queries, warranty assessments, spares identification, and technical reporting
* Assist with post-order site surveys and technical assessments where required
* Record and track technical issues, outcomes, and recurring faults to support continuous improvement
* Contribute technical content to installation manuals, schematics, and product documentation
* Maintain accurate technical records and documentation across internal systems
* Support technical input into marketing and website content where product accuracy is required
* Work closely with sales, operations, and technical teams to ensure enquiries, specifications, quotations, and orders are handled efficiently
* Participate in internal meetings where technical design or product input is required
* Identify recurring technical issues or design challenges and feedback findings to the Technical & Training Manager
* Maintain awareness of relevant industry standards and regulations applicable to product application and installation
* Undertake any other reasonable technical or project-related tasks delegated by the Technical & Training Manager
