Your New Company A leading, forward-thinking organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to enhance procurement governance, drive value for money, and support a broad portfolio of services and transformation initiatives. Your New Role As Procurement Manager, you will oversee all procurement activity and act as the primary advisor on procurement strategy, policy, and regulation. You will ensure compliant tendering processes, robust financial controls, and transparent audit trails, while supporting departments to plan and deliver effective sourcing activity. Your responsibilities will include: Leading compliant tendering processes, including e-tendering, evaluation, bidder communication and due diligence. Advising on procurement routes, frameworks, thresholds, and commercial risk. Developing category strategies aligned with organisational priorities and sustainability goals. Managing contracts, negotiating favourable terms, and promoting consistent supplier relationship management. Analysing spend data, benchmarking high-value contracts, and maintaining procurement dashboards and KPIs. Delivering training, guidance, and briefings to non-specialist stakeholders. Maintaining an accurate contracts register and forward planning renewals. Ensuring compliance with procurement policy, financial controls, GDPR, Modern Slavery and sustainability reporting. Administering procurement card processes, monitoring usage, and identifying opportunities for structured purchasing. What You'll Need to Succeed CIPS Level 4 or above or equivalent professional procurement qualification. Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and compliant tendering. Experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and analysing financial data. Ability to deliver procurement advice to non-specialists and influence senior stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting or delivering training.
