The Marketing Assistant Role
Support the Marketing team across both UK sites by providing marketing, digital, content, communications and event support.
The Marketing Team at The Snow Centre is a group function, providing the full channel mix of marketing support for both The Snow Centre Manchester (previously Chill Factore) and The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead. The team are driven to provide a balance of continued commercial success with a guest‑focused approach. Supporting the various company sub‑brands; The Lodge, Northern Snow (event), Get Your Kit Out (event), Full Park Fridays and various external events. The team also work closely with partner brands, charities and organisations from across the Snowsport industry.
This role focuses on execution, coordination, and supporting, with exposure to strategy, creative direction, digital and traditional marketing across owned, earned and paid channels, and stakeholder management. Reporting into the Group Head of Marketing and a Manchester‑based Senior Marketing team member, the successful candidate will receive training on our marketing, communication and reporting systems.
The Marketing Assistant will support every member of the Marketing team with tasks ranging from social media content capture, scheduling, email marketing, SEO and communications content creation, creative production and keeping the website up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Web Support
* Maintain and update website including landing pages and product information
* Support content SEO implementation and basic website optimisation
* Schedule and post social media content across platforms (TikTok, LinkedIn, Insta, FB)
* Third‑party review and referral site updates and review responses
Content & Creative Support
* Social content capture at local level and events (internal and external)
* Support creation of multi‑channel creative assets for campaigns, promos and events
* Assist with photography and video shoots: set‑up, coordination, and asset management
* Basic copywriting for social media, email, and marketing collateral
* Ensure brand consistency across all outputs under guidance
Campaign & Event Administration
* Assist with campaign implementation at both group and local level
* Support in the tracking and analysis of campaign performance
* Support event planning and execution: signage, schedules, logistics, communications
* Providing marketing support for all stakeholders before, during and post events
B2B & Brand Support
* Support routine B2B marketing tasks and collateral preparation
* Collate partner, influencer, and media enquiries for senior review
* Assist with digital screen content updates and on‑site posters
* Assist in maintaining brand standards and consistency across channels
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience within a marketing team would be preferred
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Good understanding of digital marketing platforms (social media, email, CMS)
* Social media as a brand platform – experience using social channels commercially
* Basic graphic design and content creation / copywriting skills, with willingness to learn
* Attention to detail, diligence and ability to follow brand guidelines
* Team player with willingness to learn and support multiple stakeholders
* Ability to work across and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
* Work closely with the Marketing team, the Group Head of Marketing, stakeholders across both The Snow Centre UK locations, our partner brands and our partner business Snow World in mainland Europe
* Gain experience in digital, social, email, content marketing, and campaign management
* Participate in creative development, photography/video production, and cross‑site marketing initiatives
* Hands‑on exposure with Snowsport brands, D2C and B2B marketing, event management, influencer and PR activities

Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate for the Marketing Assistant would be someone who has had some exposure to marketing in some capacity – industry or area of that experience is not as relevant as the cultural and personality fit. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, flexible, willing to learn, and arrive with a strong work‑ethic as standard.
Location
The Snow Centre, Manchester.
Salary
£25,000 to £27,500 depending on experience.
Hours
40 hours per week, Mon to Fri with some weekends and occasional travel as required.
