About us
We are Churchill Retirement Living, the fastest growing company in the UK retirement house building sector, and we’re looking for people like you.
We’re a family-owned business with ambitious growth plans. Currently employing over 700 people, we pride ourselves on building beautiful, quality, purpose-built one and two-bedroom apartments in desirable locations across the UK for those seeking an independent lifestyle in later life. Our developments are designed to provide security, peace of mind, and independence, removing the hassles and fears often associated with aging.
We have received numerous awards, including being recognized by The Sunday Times as the 3rd Best Company to Work for in the UK and being crowned overall ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ by the WhatHouse? Awards 2016—the first retirement living specialist to achieve this.
About the role
We’re seeking an Assistant Site Manager for our South East region to oversee our new development in Rainham, Kent. You will support the Site Manager with the entire construction cycle, ensuring all deadlines are met and standards are upheld according to company and NHBC regulations.
Based on-site and reporting to the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include managing health and safety issues, coordinating trades and materials, maintaining site presentation, and controlling costs. Your role is vital in ensuring the success of Churchill Retirement Living’s developments.
Working hours are from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The role may require call-outs in the absence of the Site Manager, which are infrequent. Once the development is completed, you will be assigned to another site within the region.
About you
You should have previous site experience in building residential apartments and new homes. A qualified First Aider at Work is essential, and a trade background is advantageous. You must hold a CSCS Card and be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Site Management, preferably on the NHBC Site Manager Accreditation programme.
You should be assertive and calm under pressure, capable of meeting deadlines and liaising effectively with external suppliers, specialists, and internal teams to achieve objectives without compromising quality. Influencing skills are key to gaining cooperation. A valid UK driver’s license is required in case assistance is needed at another site.
How you’ll be rewarded
* Competitive salary plus site bonus scheme
* Company car or cash allowance
* Annual holiday of 24 days plus Bank Holidays
* Day off on your birthday
