You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Senior Planning Engineer/Planning Manager in the development of the Asset Structure, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), calendars and dates to be used by SCS, aligned with the Cost Break Down Structure (CBS) and Employer’s Data Dictionary.
* Help develop cost and resource-loaded construction programmes during ECI Stage One with submission in accordance to the required delivery milestones.
* Ensure the construction programme meets all required access dates, milestones, and key dates in compliance with the Employer’s Planning requirements, contract data, and works information.
* Contribute to the assessment of programme risks and risk analysis, including development and implementation of mitigation measures.
* Adhere to BIM team requirements and integrate the construction programme into the BIM model.
* Monitor progress and regularly update the construction programme during Stage Two, including forecasting potential problem areas and proposing mitigation measures to the Project Manager.
Qualifications
* Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or an appropriate professional qualification.
* Prior experience in a planning function on civil engineering projects.
* Knowledge of developing and implementing Asset structures, Planning Standards, WBS, and planning processes in a BIM environment.
* Competence in Primavera P6 and Tilos.
* Knowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk Management.
