About the role
We are looking for a substantive consultant in Sexual Health and HIV medicine to join Sexual Health Dorset. The role will be based in the East Hub located in Bournemouth, supporting a fully integrated Sexual Health and HIV service for the population of Dorset.

Services provided by Sexual Health Dorset
* Two Integrated Sexual Health Hubs in Bournemouth and Weymouth providing sexual health, contraception, and HIV services
* Satellite clinics for integrated sexual health in Blandford, Bridport, Poole, and Shaftesbury
* In‑reach sexual health services to three Dorset prisons and HIV services to two prisons based on Portland
* Psychosexual Medicine
* Sexual Health Education and Outreach Service (SHEOS) for young people aged 13‑19
* Dorset Working Women’s Project (DWWP) – sex worker outreach
* Early medical termination service at the Bournemouth Hub
* Training for local healthcare professionals, including DCSRH
Responsibilities
* Provide treatment, care and clinical expertise for patients with sexually transmitted infections, genitourinary conditions and HIV, including medical termination of pregnancy.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the sexual health and HIV integrated model.
* Provide clinical input and advice for HIV inpatients admitted to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and University Hospitals Trust Dorset (UHD) as required.
* Participate in a triumvirate model of shared leadership between medical leads, nursing leads and service management.
* Undertake managerial and administrative roles as required, in consultation with senior management.
* Contribute to all aspects of clinical governance, including safeguarding, audit, demonstrable clinical outcomes and clinical excellence.
* Support the Trust’s affairs and manage the medical staff, including job planning.
* Act as Clinical Supervisor for medical staff and contribute to staff training and education for other healthcare practitioners.
