Our trading teams are key to our success and as a Trading Assistant you'll join our busy, fast-paced and dynamic Trading teams. We are on the hunt for a trader or future traders to join our Home category and would love to hear from anyone with relevant experience.
Not only are we the second largest manufacturer of fresh food in the UK, but we also ensure our traceability, in particular our meat products, to show it is ethically sourced, from which region of the UK and by whom, to help us paint a full picture for our customers from farm-to-fork. Working within embedded business teams, our team of friendly faces works as one to provide shopping trips and a career experience.
This is a hybrid role where you will be based in the office 3 days a week.
About You
So that you are set for success, we are looking for a self-starter, who is a great communicator with the ability to influence at all levels. You will work as part of a versatile team with a can-do culture, so it's important that you are tenacious and strive for excellence.

Ability to manage multiple requirements to short timescales, with a desire to give excellent customer service
A strong desire and passion to pursue a career in Buying
Good attention to detail with a persistent and positive attitude
Self motivated with a strong ability to plan and organise
Good commercial and financial understanding and experience with strong numerical ability
Strong ability to communicate effectively whether face to face, telephone or email
Ability to analyse complex data
Confident with an ability to use initiative and seek out solutions
