Overview
About The Role
As a Care Home Manager at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, as a Care Home Manager, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
In this role you will take responsibility for the well-being of our Residents, including making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met. You will lead, motivate and mentor your team and deliver clinical guidance and training to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home. You will carry out assessments, develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for each of our Residents. You will monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation. You will promote Residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and striving for continuous improvement. The position offers you a chance to lead that provision through effective leadership and home management, ensuring we have the best people on-site, delivering a truly empathic service. You’ll champion Resident wellbeing, establish a vision and development plan for the home, and carry out quality assurance monitoring to exceed regulatory standards, always with kindness at the forefront.
You will be a care home experienced Registered Nurse with a current PIN on the NMC register. You’ll also either have a Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5, or be willing to study for one. You should have leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams and experience conducting risk assessments. Above all, when you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you’ll be genuinely considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. It is important that you are able to recognise signs that may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
