Technical Support Engineer I

Our ever-growing Technical Support team are seeking candidates who have a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences through solving complex technical problems. The focus of this position will be on becoming a subject matter expert on, but not limited to InsightAppSec - our cloud-based application security testing solution designed to help organizations identify, prioritize, and manage vulnerabilities in their web applications.

1. Serve as a product subject matter expert and provide hands-on technical troubleshooting and resolution
2. Use internal tools and logs to analyze customer issues and uncover root causes
Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to communicate findings and accelerate resolution
3. Continuously build expertise in web application security and the evolving Rapid7 product landscape

8. Strong understanding of web technologies – including HTTP, HTML, DOM
9. Familiarity with Javascript and related frameworks (, )
10. Experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL, SOAP) and webhook integrations
11. Proficiency in analyzing logs using tools like regex
12. Understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases
13. Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and web security principles
14. Experience with tools such as HTTP proxy, repeater, or manual testing frameworks
15. Basic understanding of TLS and secure communication protocols
