Salary: up to £47,600 OTE (including a basic up to £39,000, plus additional £2,000 for EV qualification and bonus) overachievement bonus available!
Hours: 42; Monday-Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm plus alternate Saturdays: 8:00am-12:00pm
Our Service team at Vauxhall Ellesmere Port are recruiting for a Senior or Diagnostic Technician to join their fantastic workshop. While working alongside a team of other experienced technicians, you will play a vital role carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnosis to manufacturer guidelines, and liaising with the Master Technician for guidance when dealing with complex issues.

Responsibilities
1. Carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnosis using (Brand specific diagnostic machine) to manufacturers guidelines
2. Working with the Master Tech for guidance when dealing with complex issues
3. Working closely with the manufacturers technical team when guidance is required
4. Advising the customer/ manufacturer of any further work required
5. Road testing with the customer to support in identifying faults
Qualifications
The ideal candidate to be considered for this role will have minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence. You must also have previous experience as a Senior or Diagnostic Technician. You’ll be self-motivated whilst being able to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and are able to work to and maintain the highest of standards to all vehicles that take a spin through our doors.
Salary banding for this role is £30,000 for NVQ level 3 qualified Technician with no brand experience, £32,000 for a qualified Technician with more than 12 months brand experience, £34,000 for a Senior/Diagnostic Technician and £39,000 for an accredited Master Technician.
