Associated Utility Supplies
in 2024. Osmose is now supplying wood pole restoration products all across the UK, with plans introduce new products to Europe over the next 12-18 months. A such we are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support increasing operations from our new site in Morley. This is an ideal development role for a candidate who is looking to further their career within the health and safety environment.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a
Health & Safety Advisor
, located in Morley, Leeds. You will be responsible for ensuring workplace and occupational health and safety, conducting safety training, and maintaining safety standards across sites.
Key responsibilities
Support to Health & Safety Manager
* Assist with implementing health & safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards
* Support audits, inspections, and incident investigations
* Provide administrative support such as record keeping, report preparation, and updating safety documentation
Monitoring & Reporting
* Collect, analyse, and monitor data on near misses, incidents, and accidents to identify trends
* Prepare reports and recommendations for improvements to reduce risks
* Ensure timely completion and logging of corrective actions
Training & Communication
* Deliver toolbox talks and basic safety briefings to site teams
* Support induction training for new starters on health & safety standards
* Promote awareness of safe working practices across the business
Site Safety Checks
* Conduct routine site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe behaviours, or non-compliance
* Report findings and escalate issues where necessary
* Ensure safety equipment, PPE, and signage are maintained and available
Compliance & Improvement
* Keep up to date with relevant health & safety legislation and best practices
* Assist in developing risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to foster a strong safety culture
* Assist with work vehicles for servicing and maintenance
* Assist with tools and equipment compliance and management
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
* Experience in a health & safety role or a strong interest in developing a career in this field
* Must have full driving license and be prepared to travel if needed
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification (desirable, or willingness to work towards)
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence delivering toolbox talks
* Analytical skills with the ability to monitor data and identify trends
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations and practices
* IT literacy for reporting, training materials, and record keeping
* Knowledge of auditing and compliance would be an advantage
