About the Role
This primary school is looking for a skilled andpassionate SEMH Teacher to join their dedicated team. You’ll lead a small, specialist class supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs. The role focusses on developing a bespoke learning environment where pupils can flourish both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
•Deliver a tailored curriculum that meets the needs of SEMH pupils
•Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom culture
•Promote positive behaviour, self-esteem and emotional resilience
•Collaborate with school staff, families and external agencies
•Track progress and support each child’s personal and academic development
What This School Is Looking For
•A qualified teacher (QTS) with a passion for SEMH education
•Experience working with children facing emotional and behavioural challenges
•An empathetic and resilient approach to classroom management
•Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual pupils' needs
•Enthusiasm for creating an engaging and therapeutic learning space
•The right to work in the UK (NO VISA SPONSORSHIP)
•Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to apply for one through Hays with no upfront cost
