Job Summary
To efficiently manage the field operations including controlling sub-contractors' day-to-day operations and ensuring that material supplies are available in conjunction with the Site Manager. Assist the Site Manager in the planning and programming of site activities, ensuring the work is completed safely. Deputise for the Site Manager when necessary and manage quality standards to meet customer expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Organisation and control of labour and sub-contractors.
2. Completion of weekly planning sheets to ensure the overall build programme is met.
3. Provide direction to individual contractors and manage contractor quality standards.
4. Coordinate with the Site Manager to ensure the availability of materials to meet the construction programme.
Health and Safety
Ensure all site personnel comply with the Construction Health and Safety Regulations 1974 (as amended) and Taylor Wimpey Health and Safety Procedures Manual. Conduct frequent inspections to ensure safety. Ensure operatives work according to method statements and risk assessments. Comply with environmental action plan requirements.
Sales
Liaise daily with the Sales Executive regarding customer options and variations. Coordinate with the Sales Executive, Buying Department, and sub-contractors regarding customer choices. Resolve customer issues in collaboration with the Sales team.
Site Inspection
Plan and arrange visits for House Builders Council inspections and statutory services. Accompany inspectors during visits.
Customer Care
Assist in completing the Home Quality Inspection (HQI) before sign-off. Ensure homes are defect-free, clean, and ready for occupation. Support post-completion customer visits to ensure satisfaction. Conduct regular property inspections and complete snagging lists. Ensure contractors adhere to drawings, specifications, and scope of works.
Site Presentation
Manage street scene and site appearance according to company standards. Ensure waste disposal and segregation are compliant with policies.
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
* Trade background
* NVQ Residential Construction Site Supervision Level 4
* Knowledge of building processes, NHBC, and Building Regulations
* First aid qualified
* CSCS card at Manager/Supervisor level
