NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is a large healthcare system employing around 40,000 staff in clinical and non-clinical roles. The Facilities Directorate provides domestic, portering and catering services across hospital sites and health centres. This role supports the domestic supervision team at Leverndale, Dykebar and Barrhead Health Centre within the West Sector.
There are 2 positions available:
* Dykebar Hospital: 15:00-19:00, Saturday & Sunday (7.9 hours)
* Barrhead Health Centre: 15:30-20:00, Monday to Friday (21.83 hours)
Responsibilities
* Supervise cleaning/domestic services to ensure cleaning standards meet the National Cleaning Specification.
* Maintain knowledge of Infection Control procedures, COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.
* Work as part of the facilities team to support hospital sites and associated health centres.
* Approach tasks with a positive, can-do attitude, strong organisational skills and a commitment to safe, high-quality work.
* Provide effective people management for the cleaning workforce and coordinate tasks to meet urgent and routine needs.
* Induction and training as required; attendance at a centralised induction at WGACH before commencing at Leverndale & Dykebar sites.
* Membership of the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme is required.
* Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to maintain high standards of service.
Qualifications
* Knowledge and experience of working in the cleaning industry; experience in a hospital environment is advantageous.
* People management experience and the ability to work within a busy team.
* Strong organisational skills, good communication, and a positive attitude.
* Understanding that all tasks are essential and must be performed safely to a high standard.
* Disclosure Scotland PVG required.
