Overview:
CV Technical are exclusively partnered with a manufacturing organisation is seeking an Operational Technology Engineer to support the reliability, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of production technology systems. Reporting into the OT function, this role provides hands-on technical support to ensure critical operational systems remain stable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
This is a development-focused opportunity suited to someone looking to build experience within industrial/OT environments. The successful candidate will support incident resolution, system monitoring, infrastructure maintenance, and ongoing improvement projects across factory sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support monitoring and maintenance of OT systems to ensure uptime and performance.
* Assist with routine health checks and escalate issues where required.
* Provide first-line support for OT incidents, working alongside IT, engineering, and production teams.
* Troubleshoot industrial infrastructure including network equipment, industrial PCs, and factory-connected devices.
* Support system patching, updates, and documentation in line with operational requirements.
* Assist with installation, configuration, and replacement of OT hardware and software.
* Contribute to system upgrades, rollouts, and integration projects.
* Maintain accurate records including inventories, patch logs, and network documentation.
* Support cybersecurity best practices, backup processes, and disaster recovery testing.
* Work with third-party vendors during maintenance and installation activities.
Candidate Profile:
* Strong interest in Operational Technology and industrial systems.
* Basic understanding of IT or engineering principles.
* Experienced working hands-on with hardware and factory-floor systems.
* Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
* Effective communicator able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between local sites.
