About the Role
Auxiliary Site Support at Wessex Lodge Primary School, part of Acorn Education. Duties include maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and supporting lunchtime meal service. You may combine the cleaning and lunchtime support in a single role or focus on one area, depending on your circumstances. Working hours up to 30 per week (TBC), Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all areas of the school.
* Carry out cleaning tasks as directed by line manager, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
* Order food from dedicated preparation service and serve meals during lunchtime.
* Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining area and complete end‑of‑service cleaning to a high standard.
* Ensure all pupils and staff are served in a timely manner during the busy lunch period.
* Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and safeguarding standards.
* Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the Site Manager and Health & Safety Officer.
* Contribute positively to the school ethos and environment, working effectively as part of the wider team.
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
* Carry out additional reasonable duties as requested by the Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in cleaning, catering or a similar support role is desirable.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation is an advantage.
* A positive, flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team are essential.
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential requirement).

Location & Time
Newmead Farm, Maiden Bradley, Wiltshire BA12 7HJ. Salary: £13.25 per hour. Hours: up to 30 per week (TBC) Monday to Friday. Contract: Permanent – Term Time plus 2 weeks. Start: October 2025. Only UK applicants. No sponsorship available.
