Southwark Reception and Visitor Coordinator (Administrator & Customer Services)
Contract: 2months
Location: Southwark, SE12 1AL.
Responsible for the smooth running of a busy reception desk and visitor centre at the flagship Southwark Integrated Waste Management Facility. Providing courteous and professional service to visitors and staff. Assists the Support services Team Leader to provide internal communications support and event coordination for the contract as required.
Responsibilities
People
* Compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
* Manage all site visits and meeting bookings, including allocation of meeting rooms for colleagues and organising catering as required
* Setting up and looking after the tour equipment and PPE
* Manage all deliveries to site, including receiving and directing deliveries to the correct team
* Act as Fire Warden and First Aider for the Reception Area
* Assist Support Services Team Leader provide internal communication and staff engagement activities for the contract as required
* Build effective working relationships with colleagues across Veolia as required to meet demands of role
Customers
* Act as first point of contact for all visitors, including wider Veolia staff, corporate clients, council and government bodies, and school groups, ensuring they are welcomed, inducted and find where they need to be.
* Management of enquiries via the Southwark Reception Inbox.
* Deliver staff activities planned for the contract as directed by Support Services Team Leader
* Provide site tours for visitors
* Provide cover and support for the activities of the Support Team as directed by Support Manager

Experience
Essential:
* Good communication and interpersonal skills (remaining calm, polite and courteous)

* General switchboard experience or dealing with people on the phone
Desirable:
* Basic receptionist experience in a corporate professional environment
* An interest in recycling and preserving our environment and natural resources
* Any experience working with children

Qualifications Essential:
GCSE (or equiv.) English and Maths Desirable: Basic Fire warden or first aid qualifications (training will be provided)
