GSL Education are welcoming applications for a Science Teacher to join schools across Rotherham (S65 & S66). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching Biology, Chemistry, or Physics in a clear, engaging way that inspires students to think critically.
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver purposeful lessons, guide learners of varying abilities, and cultivate a supportive environment where students can build strong scientific understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Science through practical, engaging, and well-sequenced lessons.
* Support learners with scientific concepts, experiments, and exam preparation.
* Provide meaningful feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
* Apply effective behaviour strategies to maintain a focused classroom.
* Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental discussions.
* Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
Requirements of Science Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Secure subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.
* Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
* A genuine commitment to helping students grow academically and personally.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* A solid understanding of safeguarding practices within a school setting.
