Full-Time Teacher with SEN experience – Atherton

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced educator to join a warm and welcoming team at an inclusive primary school in Atherton (M46).

Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
* Proven experience or specialist training in supporting children with Autism and additional learning needs.
* A clear understanding of adaptive teaching strategies and differentiated learning approaches.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Excellent communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills.
* The ability to work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and the wider SEND team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of all pupils.
* Foster a nurturing, structured, and positive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
* Implement evidence-based strategies to support communication, sensory regulation, and social development.
* Work closely with the SENDCo, external professionals, and support staff to monitor progress and adapt interventions where needed.
* Maintain detailed records and contribute to personalised learning plans.
* Support inclusion by promoting positive peer relationships and emotional wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
