Trainee Traffic Installation Technician
Telent is looking for a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. Due to growth, we are expanding the team in this region. This is a field-based role; applicants must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel across the region and work in all weather conditions.

Do you hold an Electrical Engineering (or similar) diploma or certificate and want to start a new career? Are you interested in an accredited, structured training program to enhance your skills?
Joining our Engineering Team at Telent means working closely with technical experts on complex, critical projects that help keep the nation's infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.
Responsibilities of the Trainee Traffic Installation Technician include:
Working with experienced Traffic Engineers to install, maintain, and test Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting units and electrical components in Gloucestershire. Training includes on-the-job learning, desk-based, and online modules, leading to NVQ Level 2 in Highways Electrical Installations (LANTRA), then Level 3, and sector certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.
Candidate Profile:
Interest in field-based engineering, with some exposure to electrical installations preferred. No experience? We encourage eager beginners to apply.
Key Requirements:
* Motivation and willingness to learn
* Experience or education in electrical installations
* Problem-solving ability
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Good communication skills and computer literacy
* Willingness to undertake drug & alcohol testing
