As a Casual Steward on the British Pullman, A Belmond Train, you will be part of a team providing exceptional Food & Beverage service to our guests. Your responsibilities include maintaining guest areas, supporting back-of-house duties, and ensuring timely service preparation. Reporting to the Train Manager, this role is ideal for a dynamic individual passionate about excellence, storytelling in travel, cultural awareness, and maintaining high standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Prepare restaurant cars and related areas for smooth operation.
* Ensure the wellbeing and safety of your allocated car and passengers.
* Perform cleaning and maintenance to high standards.
* Assist with depot, Victoria Lounge, and departure operations.
* Handle guest interactions with professionalism and hospitality.
* Maintain knowledge of onboard menus, boutique items, and operational areas.
* Act professionally and approachably to encourage feedback.
* Work as part of a team to uphold standards.
* Handle passenger requests, including dietary, medical, or special occasions.
* Maintain high personal cleanliness and appearance standards.
What You Bring:
