Role responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for a Performance Reporting Analyst to provide Transport for Wales with appropriate and timely reports and perform analyses concerning all aspects of operational performance, including time punctuality and service quality. To assist the team in centralising all reporting and systems to ensure data accuracy, insights to support decisions, ensuring the information provided tells a story about trends, what is happening, what we are doing about it, and when will it get better.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to.
1. The use of Excel, and Power BI, to develop dynamic operational reports for use across the business and at board level.
2. To oversee the extraction of data from industry standard databases using a variety of reporting tools.
3. To use your understanding of our data and the rail industry to deliver meaningful insight across TfWRL and external stakeholders.
4. The development and embedding of new reports and processes to support accurate, timely reporting and analysis which supports the delivery of Operational Excellence for TfWRL customers and TfW (client).
Who we’re looking for
5. The ability to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of Excel (no VBA required) and an understanding of key data and database principles.
6. Building professional reports / dashboards as well as generating insight which can translate into actionable recommendations.
7. Academic / industry experience of extracting, transforming and visualising data using analytical and statistical techniques.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
9. Excellent numeric, IT, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
