Management Accountant
We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role offers the chance to support client relationships and deliver accounting insights. The position is full-time, 32 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service.
* Produce accurate and timely monthly accounts and handle ad-hoc requests with the team.
* Coordinate with team members to keep schedules updated, review prepayments, accruals, and reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts.
* Provide clients with insightful commentary on reports, highlighting variances and trends.
* Streamline financial processes where possible.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory reports.
* Liaise with auditors and accountants for year-end accounts and tax matters.
Your Profile
* Proven experience as a Management Accountant.
* Ability to review work for errors and understand the broader business context.
* Curiosity about clients' businesses and a desire to provide insights.
* Confident communicator with clients and colleagues.
* Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships.
* High IT literacy, quick to learn new ERP systems.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and macros.
* Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset.
* Self-motivated and autonomous worker.
* Attention to detail, organizational, and planning skills.
* Team player with flexibility to work remotely for 32 hours per week, with core hours from 10 am to 3 pm, four days a week.
