Sous Chef - Full-Time, Permanent
Reed Hospitality are currently recruiting an experienced Sous Chef to join a busy, high-quality hotel kitchen on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled chef looking to progress their career within a professional hotel environment.
As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service across restaurant, banqueting, and event catering. You will play a key role in leading the kitchen team, maintaining smooth service, and upholding excellent food safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Supervise, motivate, and train junior kitchen staff
Assist with menu preparation, planning, and food production
Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations
Manage stock control, ordering, and minimise food waste
Lead service confidently during busy periods
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef in a hotel or high-volume kitchen
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends
