We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our team within Vistry East Anglia, at our Peterborough site .As our Technical Coordinator, you will co-ordinate all technical information between external consultants and internal departments throughout the design and construction process. You will ensure all approvals are obtained and information received and issued to allow for a prompt start on site.

* Full Current UK Driving License or equivalent
* Proven working experience in Architecture / Civil Engineering
* Previous experience in Residential Housing sector
* Proficient in regulatory approvals including all section agreements (section 38 §ion 104 designs)
* Ability to confidently challenge decisions made by others
* Quick and eager to learn, with a focus on continuous development
* Proficient in MS Office programmes
* Knowledge and understanding of 4 Projects Viewpoint at an operational level
* To have a positive and flexible approach to work, integrate with the existing team and provide support and guidance to others when required
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise and co-ordinate activities between departments
* Prioritise workload when managing multiple contracts / tasks
* Degree or similar qualification in Construction Management / Civil Engineering/ Architecture or other related discipline would be beneficial
* CAD/REVIT Skills desirable
More about the Technical Coordinator role…
* Comply with the company Life of Site processes.
* Ensure all drawings and details are accurate and commercially suitable throughout the design and construction phase stages (Civil, Structural & Architectural)
* Co-ordinate and chair design team meetings with internal and external participants
* Attend and contribute to progress meetings on site as required.
* Support the Land & Planning team during the planning process where required and review planning approval to ensure conditions are discharged in accordance with the project programme.
* Agree construction specification, SAP and overheating strategies for the project
* Coordinate the submission of a Building Control, Warranty applications and supporting documentation
* Liaise with consultants and attend meetings to progress all relevant Technical matters
* Review and approval of subcontractor/supplier design information.
* Ensure accurate and on time design information in line with project requirements
* Manage the design review process with Clients where applicable.
* Ensure cost effective design control and buildability
* Maintain and manage all current drawings/documents/information on the Viewpoint Platform.
* Review and check contract requirements, documentation, warranties and bond/sectional agreement requirements..
* Apply for and secure statutory body approval of Engineering Designs and ground remediation.
* Co-ordinate Temporary Works designs.
* Attend site visits and meetings in order to solve issues that arise during the construction process.
* Ensure that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as required.
* Manage the technical fee budget in conjunction with the Technical Manager.
