DeepOcean has an exciting opportunity for a HSEQ Engineer to join our growing UK team on a permanent staff basis, located in our Aberdeen office. The role reports directly to the Lead HSEQ Engineer. As a HSEQ Engineer, you will provide HSEQS support and guidance to all DeepOcean operational areas with the DeepOcean approved HSEQS Management System, current legislation and regulations. Occasional trips offshore will be required.

Duties and responsibilities
* Provide HSEQ support and guidance required for projects and worksites.
* Coordination, implementation and maintenance of all project HSEQ documentation in accordance with the Business Management System and client specific requirements.
* Liaison with client, third party and attendance at project meetings, client conferences, audits and inspections.
* To provide support to the Commercial tendering and bid process.
* To participate and assist with internal and external audits of the HSEQS Management System.
* To report to the Lead HSEQ Engineer on HSEQS performance and suggestions for further improvement of the system.
* To continually promote and present the HSEQS culture and values of DeepOcean at departmental and client level.
* To ensure that applicable HSEQS legislation and Contract requirements to DeepOcean’s operations is understood and applied to ensure organizational compliance.
* To participate and lead project or site Risk assessment processes in conjunction with project teams and project managers.
* To actively participate and engage in the realisation of company HSEQS performance targets and objectives.
* To monitor and advise / report on areas of non-compliance to legislation or adherence to HSEQS Management System.
* To ensure active learning and distribution of critical HSE information throughout the organization
* To support the Behavioural Safety Programme Act for Safety.
Qualifications and experience
* 3–5-year experience within a similar HSEQ role within a subsea O&G, renewables environment is essential.
* Bachelor’s degree or other relevant education within HSE.
* Experience and understanding of Management Systems, HSE Legislation / Regulations, Risk Management Application, Auditing, Inspection, Incident Management and Emergency Response.
* Proficiency in MS Office Packages
