Liverpool City Region’s programme of major sporting events is rapidly expanding, offering opportunities to drive cultural engagement, community participation and shared pride across all six boroughs. From international tournaments to multisport festivals, these events provide a powerful platform for cultural and community-led legacy.
We are now recruiting a Social Impact Officer (Culture & Community) to amplify the cultural and community benefits of these events at an LCR-wide level.
What you’ll do
Integrate cultural and community social impact objectives into major event planning.
Co-design cultural legacy programmes in partnership with cultural organisations, neighbourhood teams and community groups across the region
Facilitate community voice, ensuring residents shape the opportunities delivered locally
Build trusted relationships with partners across sport, education, voluntary, community and LCR authority partners
Deliver inclusive cultural participation programmes that reflect local needs
Gather and share data, insight and stories to evidence impact and support reporting

You will have experience in cultural development, participation, creative engagement or community-based programmes. You’ll be a relationship-builder, a connector and an advocate for inclusion. You’ll thrive in collaborative spaces and enjoy working across diverse communities
