Markets Operations Belfast Overview:


Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Role Overview:

The Operations Intermediate Analyst is responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.


What you'll do:

1. Process transactions, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of products

2. Identify and resolve settlement issues, and make process improvement recommendations to leadership

3. Analyze moderately complex reports to satisfy management requirements, aid in control activities, and contribute to the launch of product services

4. Monitor and suggest solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank, through an intermediate knowledge of procedural requirements

5. Escalate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution

6. Assist with control activities, and the launch of new products and services

7. Ensure processes adhere to audit and control policies

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

9. Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment

10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


Education:

11. GCSE English & Maths
