Your new role
They are seeking a Senior Ecological Clerk of Works to join the team. You will play a key role in ensuring that clients' construction projectsply with ecological and environmental regulations, policies, and best practices. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of ecologists, hydrologists, and environmental scientists to provide on-site monitoring, advice, and support to construction teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide on-site ecological monitoring, advice, and support to construction teams, ensuringpliance with environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
2. Undertake pre-construction ecological surveys, risk assessments, and method statements.
3. Prepare ecological management plans and oversee their implementation.
4. Conduct regular site inspections to monitorpliance with ecological and environmental requirements.
5. Provide advice and guidance on ecological mitigation and enhancement measures.
6. Work closely with construction teams to ensure that ecological and environmental issues are identified and resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
7. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure that ecological and environmental requirements are met.
8. Prepare reports and documentation to supportpliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
9. Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff, including training and professional development.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Proven experience in ecological clerk of works roles, preferably in the infrastructure or construction sector.
11. A degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
12. Knowledge of ecological and environmental legislation, regulations, and policies.
13. Experience in ecological survey techniques and the preparation of ecological management plans.
14. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
15. Strong organizational and time management skills.
16. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
