About the Role
Were looking for a committed, organised, and collaborative Project Manager to lead a unique, 8 month-long initiative aimed at understanding and improving job retention for disabled people.
This project places lived and living experience at its heart. Working alongside a diverse, paid steering group of disabled people, you’ll use the Scottish Approach to Service Design to explore the barriers disabled people face in staying in work — and co-create potential solutions.
You’ll lead on planning, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of key outputs including a research report, solution toolkit, and the successful coordination of a lived experience group.
Were looking for someone with:
* Proven experience managing community-based projects, ideally with direct involvement in co-production or co-design
* A strong understanding of disability equality and inclusive practice
* Excellent facilitation, communication, and project coordination skills
* A values-driven, people-first approach
The posts will be 28hrs a week, based in our Glasgow office 3 days a week with the option to work from home for the remainder of the week. Some Glasgow-wide travel may be required. Fixed Term (to end April 2026).

Job Description
Reporting to: Head of Operations
Contract: Fixed-term (to end April 2026)
Hours: 28 hours/week (0.8 FTE)
Location: Hybrid – office attendance 3 days per week and Glasgow-wide travel may be required.
Salary: £34,477 pro rata
Purpose of the Role
To lead a co-production project exploring the employment retention challenges disabled people face, working closely with a lived experience steering group, and delivering practical outputs that inform future approaches across the employability sector.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
* Lead all stages of project planning, coordination, and reporting
* Manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships
* Ensure outputs are delivered on time and to a high standard
Co-Production & Facilitation
* Recruit, support, and coordinate a diverse, paid steering group of disabled people
* Facilitate inclusive co-production sessions and wider community consultations
* Apply principles of inclusive design and participation, ensuring accessibility throughout
Research & Analysis
* Gather and analyse qualitative insights from lived experience participants
* Work with contributors to identify key themes and co-create potential solutions
Reporting & Communication
* Produce or oversee the development of project outputs, including a research report and solutions toolkit
* Support the creation of accessible materials for wider dissemination
Sustainability & Learning
* Identify opportunities for longer-term impact, including integration of findings into organisational practice and future pilots
Person Specification
Essential
* Experience managing participatory, community-led, or co-production projects
* Strong understanding of disability equality and inclusive engagement
* Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Commitment to values-led, person-centred practice
* Experience working with or as part of the disabled community
Desirable
* Knowledge of the employability or third sector landscape in Scotland
* Familiarity with qualitative research or insight gathering
