Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently looking for experienced and reliable Furniture Van Drivers to support a range of clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for drivers seeking flexible ad hoc work that can fit around other commitments while offering hands‑on, active shifts and regular opportunities.
The Role
* Completing multi‑drop furniture deliveries across local and regional routes
* Working alongside a driver's mate or warehouse team to deliver large furniture items
* Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
* Ensuring all deliveries are completed professionally and on time
* Providing excellent customer service at all delivery points
* Flexible ad hoc shifts, mainly Monday to Friday
Pay Rates
PAYE
* £13.00 per hour
* £17.32 per hour overtime after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
* £14.57 per hour
* £19.42 per hour overtime after 8 hours
Minimum 8 hours' pay guaranteed per shift
Weekly pay
Flexible work to suit your availability
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Previous van driving experience essential
* No major endorsements (DD, IN, CD, DG, DR)
* Good level of physical fitness as heavy lifting is involved
* Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
* Strong customer service and communication skills
