Mechanical Fitter Overview. We are looking for a team of experienced Mechanical Fitter to carry out maintenance, repair, and overhaul work on freight wagons. This role involves mechanical inspection, component replacement, and ensuring all wagons meet required safety and operational standards. Location: Doncaster for 6 months while training, then Burton. (Claim back .30p per mile while on training) Job Type: Contract for 6 months Hourly rates: Skilled rate is £18.79 PAYE Hours of work: Monday to Thursday. 9 & ¼ hours a day. 37 hours a week.
