Location: Filton campus (with some travel to other campuses)
FTE Salary: Up to £35,793.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Actual Salary: Up to £33,216.79
Contract Type: Permanent, term-time only
Working Hours: 37 hours a week, 38 weeks a year

English and Maths Extra supports and develops learners to become the best they can be, and we are looking for an EAA assessor/specialist tutor to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team.
This role will be balanced between exam access arrangements assessments (EAAs) and specialist tutoring. Most of this role will be EAA assessing and its associated administrative tasks, however, there will be a requirement for tutoring and teaching during the quieter parts of the academic year.
Specialist tutors are required to deliver both English and maths, but if you have a preference for one subject, we will try to timetable you according to your strengths when and where possible. For example, if you are a maths specialist the majority of your lessons will be maths. We will also train you to teach English and develop your understanding of the English GCSE syllabus, with continued support throughout.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
14. Assessing learners for exams access arrangements and completing the associated administrative tasks.
15. Providing departmental training in the college EAA process
16. Providing high quality delivery one-to-one or to small groups using a range of multi-sensory approaches in Functional Skills and GCSE English and Maths
17. Prepare engaging, accessible learning materials, including digital resources
18. Building bespoke learning plans tailored to individual needs and that promote independent learning
19. Monitoring learner achievement and engagement
20. Collaborating effectively with course tutors, the Exams team, and parents/carers to support student success
21. Training students in the use of assistive technology.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
22. L7 Exams Access Arrangements qualification (CCET and C3PTA)
23. PGCE or alternative teaching qualification
24. Level 5 or above qualification in teaching learners with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia or ADHD
25. To have excellent knowledge of the syllabus of GCSE and Functional Skills English and Maths Examinations.
26. To have knowledge of Exam Access Arrangements.
27. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and students
28. Be supportive and encouraging others in the department and organisation
