Trauma and Orthopaedic Theatre Team Leader
Applicants are invited to apply for the position within the Theatre suite of Walsall Manor Hospital. The theatre suite consists of 14 theatres with the following specialities:
* Colorectal
* Orthopaedics & Trauma
* Urology
* Bariatric
* Breast
* Gynaecology
* Ear, Nose & Throat
* Pain Therapy
* Emergency & Maternity theatres
Responsibilities
We are looking for two highly professional, motivated and experienced individuals to undertake this role. The successful candidates will:
* Provide support and manage day‑to‑day issues independently.
* Demonstrate excellent organisational and time‑management skills, working to tight deadlines and prioritising under pressure.
* Engage with staff at all seniorities and negotiate to ensure team objectives are met.
* Ensure safe and effective clinical practice and work within an ethical framework that respects patients’ well‑being and safety.
* Be professionally accountable for the assessment of care needs, development of personalised care plans, and their implementation and evaluation without supervision.
* Lead and coordinate the theatre team in the absence of the Clinical Speciality Manager, reinforcing values of compassion, dignity and respect.
* Plan and deliver care aligned with professional values and act as a change agent, developing clinically effective practice through the evidence‑based integration of information.
