An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Beacon Friends and Family Service, a new service to the Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership from 1 April 2025. The service provides a safe place for anyone affected by somebody else’s use of drugs or alcohol. Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership is a partnership delivering substance use treatment and recovery services across Lincolnshire from April 2024, delivered in partnership between Turning Point, Framework and Double Impact.

The Role
As a Family and Affected Others Practitioner you will be dedicated to supporting adults, young people over 5, and children who have been affected by substance use. You will work with individuals and families to provide information and advice tailored to their personal circumstances and goals. The aim is to equip those you support with knowledge, tools and emotional resilience to navigate the impact of substance use and support wellbeing.
The role is varied; you will work on a one-to-one and group basis, face-to-face and online, to reach a broad range of service users. Strong communication skills and alignment with our values are essential. Flexibility to drive and access to a vehicle are required for outreach work.
Responsibilities
* Effective case management of family members and affected others (may include young people and/or adults).
* Conduct comprehensive family/affected others assessments, including assessment of personal strengths and risk factors.
* Formulate, monitor and review risk assessments and risk management plans to ensure safeguarding.
* Develop person-centred support plans using a strengths-based approach.
* Deliver high-quality person-centred interventions in accordance with needs.
* Deliver interventions face-to-face and online, including structured groups.
Requirements / The Ideal Candidate
* Lived experience and knowledge of the issues faced by those affected by substance use.
* Experience with caseload management, including assessing, managing risk, confidentiality, consent and boundaries.
* Knowledge of engagement and support strategies.
* Strong organisational and IT skills.
* Ability to manage time, prioritise and take accountability for own work.
