Overview
We are looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant who is passionate about pursuing a career in teaching and wants to gain classroom experience ahead of a future teaching course. This is a fixed‑term post expiring on 31 August 2026, with the potential for future sponsorship at the school as a trainee teacher on the SCITT scheme. The role is working to support a caring two‑form entry school with an outstanding EYFS. The Infant and Junior schools are on two adjoining sites in the heart of the Ottershaw community. The schools have a capacity of 460 pupils, plus a 26 full‑time on‑site nursery.
We would like to employ a Graduate Teaching Assistant for general classroom and break time support who is first and foremost the right person for Ottershaw Schools. You will work collaboratively with the class teacher to meet the needs of specific children with additional learning needs.

* Salary: B grade; FTE salary £23,606; Actual salary of £17,593 for 31.65 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year.
