About the Role:
* Deliver engaging English lessons to Key Stage 4 students, focusing on developing their skills in reading, writing, and critical analysis.
* Plan and deliver lessons that incorporate a variety of literary texts and writing styles.
* Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies within the English department.
* Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as book clubs and writing workshops, promoting student engagement and fostering a love of literature.
* Collaborate with colleagues to integrate English skills and perspectives into the wider curriculum.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in English Literature and Language.
* Experience teaching English to Key Stage 4 students, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate boys.
* A strong understanding of literary analysis and writing techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for engaging young minds in the study of English.
