A specialist SEMH setting in Slough is looking to appoint an experienced and resilient SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time role starting in September, working with primary-aged pupils who require a nurturing, structured and highly supportive environment to succeed. You will be leading a small nurture group and outreach provision, supporting pupils both within the school and in local mainstream settings. This is a varied role that requires flexibility, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to adapt your approach to meet a wide range of social, emotional and behavioural needs. The school has a strong trauma-informed and restorative approach, with a real focus on helping pupils build confidence, regulate emotions and re-engage with learning. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEMH needs Lead a small nurture group, creating a safe and supportive learning environment Support outreach work with local mainstream schools Work closely with support staff, families and external professionals Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies Track progress and adapt provision to meet individual needs Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with SEN, particularly SEMH Strong classroom and behaviour management skills A nurturing, patient and consistent approach Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff Passion for supporting vulnerable learners to achieve their potential This is a really rewarding opportunity to be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, where staff wellbeing and development are genuinely prioritised.
