As the Assistant Marketing Manager youll be managing a team of 3, responsible for helping to drive and grow marketing output, in a varied role where no two days are the same. Youll need to balance creativity with commercial acumen, working across strategic message development, advertising and public relations. Were looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to our clients experienced and passionate Marketing Department.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Support with planning, implementing and monitoring marketing campaigns, social media posts, press releases and other marketing communications
2. Research potential target customers, identify and verify location of prospects, and follow up potential opportunities
3. Assist with production of marketing materials and collateral also managing stock levels as agreed with the Head of Marketing
4. Assist in the organisation and coordination of marketing events such as conferences, and tradeshows
5. Monitor and report on campaigns, evaluating data on key metrics
6. Assist in the creation of marketing reports for departmental heads and the board of directors
7. Identify and generate new business opportunities through advertising and other promotional activities
8. Track leads by working alongside the Marketing Office Coordinator to follow up with the Sales Team
9. Support and take active involvement in company CSR activities
10. Manage internal and external requests assigning relevant tasks to the Marketing Office Coordinator, Marketing Administrator and the Senior Graphic Designer
11. Actively promote and encourage members of the Marketing Department to further enhance their skills
12. Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing programs, utilising the skillset of other members of the Marketing team
Skills & Experience
Essential
13. Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing or relevant discipline
14. Experience of managing a team
15. 2-3 years experience within a Marketing or Sales department
16. Ability to understand engineering concepts and communicate them
17. Excellent administration practices and procedures, able to work under time constraints and deadlines
18. Advanced IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages particularly excel
19. Effective and confident communicator with good presentation skills, exceptional telephone manner, and able to build working relationships with senior staff
20. Resilience and the ability to challenge the status quo
21. Results driven with an eagerness to assist in the continuous improvement across the organisation
Desirable
22. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop etc.)
23. Experience with Hubspot
24. An understanding of social media campaign planning, strategy, and scheduling
25. Creative flair and talent for content writing
