We are looking for a Quality Compliance Officer to join our team in the defence sector at Wincanton based in Motherwell. Main responsibilities will be to maintain compliance to legislation, contract requirements, maintain relevant licences and accreditations. This will be for all Scotland contracts.

Day to Day
21. Maintain and carry out Internal Audits and customer complaints. Raising associated CAR’s, to ensure maintenance of management systems.
22. Raise Quarantine / Rejection Reports, as applicable, monitor and report on the Quarantine Areas and processes being operated.
23. Monitor and record internal quality performance with emphasis on Continual Improvement and problem identification / resolution.
24. Ensure the monitoring and control of site Quality Documents including maintaining temp. / humidity data where appropriate.
25. Participate and liaise with LRQA / customer / etc. site audits and inspections.
26. Update Site Quality Procedures, Quality Plans and Working Instructions and maintain agreed scheduled actions. Such actions can arise from internal reviews or from external reviews / assessments.
27. Ensure processes for compliance to legislation are up to date and followed by the operations team
28. Monitor records to ensure that Security Training is completed annually for all staff.
29. Ensure Wincanton are working to the appropriate standards as defined legally or in relation to customer requirements, this includes but is not limited to UK and US regulations.
30. Preparation for specific business security and risk related audits.
31. Guide the Senior Operations Managers and teams in establishing regulatory requirements with regards to any new or additional contractual requirements
What will you bring?
32. Experience working in a Defence environment would be beneficial
33. Knowledge of security processes/ managing security processes across different contracts
34. Ability to maintain focus and determine requirements to support the site activities.
35. Auditor experience would be beneficial
36. Good understanding of one or more management system: ISO 9001, ISO14001 or ISO 45001.
37. Ability to investigate issues and produce succinct accurate reports.
38. Ability to complete Root cause analysis.
39. Good communication skills
40. Team player but able to operate independently
41. Flexible with travel to our other Scotland sites – Requirement
Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain security clearanceprior to commencing employment which includes providing 5 consecutive years UK residence and employment/education history.
