Job Introduction
Our Area Manager will be responsible for new Business Development and managing key customer accounts. You will play a key role in launching and operating our new Groundforce business, Groundforce Non Mechanical Plant in Wigan. This role requires a balanced approach to driving sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships, focusing on lead generation, relationship nurturing, and proactive sales activities.
This position is suitable if you have experience in business development, customer service, or depot work, as training and support will be provided to help you develop a new customer base.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate leads through proactive outreach, including telesales and other strategies.
* Build and nurture client relationships to understand their equipment needs.
* Promote our products and services to create sales opportunities and contribute to business success.
* Manage a portfolio of accounts to maximize revenue and profit.
* Hold regular reviews with the General Manager to assess sales performance.
* Engage in cold and warm calling.
* Proactively seek and develop new accounts to maintain a pipeline of opportunities.
* Ensure high customer satisfaction by understanding needs and providing tailored solutions.
* Leverage sales experience to grow existing accounts, including product demonstrations on construction projects.
* Follow health and safety practices on our sites and customer sites.
* Provide holiday and sickness cover on the Hire Desk as needed.
