Key job responsibilities Carry out risk assessments and audits Monitor the site to make sure processes are in line with Amazons safety procedures Create and update reports on safety metrics for colleagues to review Work with colleagues in Operations and across the business on safety-related tasks and offer guidance on processes Support in putting new safety measures in place A day in the life Youll be based at one of our sites. This means that you can closely track whats happening and people can easily ask you any questions throughout their shifts. This role is all about spotting potential issues before they happen. Youll spend a lot of time checking the site and getting to know the way that people use equipment. By understanding how every task and machine works, youll be able to think about the best way to keep processes safe. Youll also be one of the people to put safety changes into action, which means youll get to work closely with lots of people. Alongside your daily and weekly tasks, youll offer support to our Operations team on ad-hoc safety-related work. Safety is so important to Amazon, and youll help us gather the vital data that keeps us on top of our processes and ahead of any issues. Youll also share that data with people across the business and work with other teams to make sure theyre putting safety first. About the team Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, making sure were complying with Amazons policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe. There is a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. No matter what your role is, youll play a part in developing, implementing and upholding our high safety and wellbeing standards. You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building and equipment design. Basic Qualifications NVQ Level 3 or NEBOSH National General Certificate, or equivalent. Relevant experience using data analysis to generate and explain metrics Advanced proficiency in the local language (C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR) Preferred Qualifications Experience communicating effectively across a broad range of stakeholders either in writing or through presentations Experience working both independently and within a team
